SupraStar 3000
Well,... watched the 1st one last weekend. No idea WTF thats about. Now I'm sat here again watch the "world trade center" episode. Anyone else struggle to understand the plot? All this over a chav like chunky gold sovereign ring. Someone should tell that homesexual hobbit to take it back to Argos

Matt Harwood
IMHO, LOTR is a fantastic film. Maybe it's because I read the book while I was at school that I can understand it more, but I love the films. Philistine!

grahamc
its simple... ring = power therefore everyone wants it, but as we know power corrupts so whats the logical answer, destroy it awesome set of movies!!!
Konrad
You should read book before you will make sarcastic comments about LOTR doh! I tell ya mate, J.R.R Tolkien created beautifull world, full of life, full of secrets, magic, good and evil, LOTR is just small piece of this world. Actually it is just short episode of all Middle Earth mythology. Silmarilion describing Middle Earth better and more complex. About movie - I think that Jackson did good job, unfortunatelly he couldn't show ALL plot, cuz movie then would take around 11 hours every part Anyway - ring was just a symbol doh, symbol of power in wrong hands at beggining. Mind you, LOTR was created in WW2 times, you can see few analogies there. Sauron (Hitler), ring (german war industry) etc. PS. Harry sux

Muffleman
Never got round to reading the books, but really enjoyed the films. Occasionally we'll watch all 3 (extended ones I may add) in a week, couple of hours each night etc. I know I'm a hairy arsed bloke that tends not to read a book unless it's got big pictures, or watch a film that doesnt have cars\explosions\scantily clad wimmin. But I can appreciate the LOTR films. Can't get on with Harry Potter tho.
