Guest samcoombes
HI Guys I'm still new to supra ownership, but I have a few niggles with my new car which i'd like to try and sort out. I've tried searching for answers to these, but the answers I have found haven't worked! 1. My folding mirrors worked the first day I had the car - now they dont. I have checked the fuses - which one is it in the footwell? 2. My electrical aerial doesn't come up. I've connected the blue ACC OUT from my H/U onto the black and red, and pink cables from the Aerial relay box, but still no joy. Could it be the actual aerial? How do I get the aerial itself out? 3. The air con doesn't blow very cold. I've looked in the small spy glass, and there is a bit of gas / liquid flying through. I've noticed in the front, white water bottle (it says radiator on it) it is on the 'low' level. Is this the air con rad or the car one? I'm sure it's the air con one, but want to be sure! Excuse the silly questions - i'm new to all this but i'm loving it Thanks

Dont worry about the silly questions The aircon runs on highly pressurised Gas Refrigerant, you will possibly need to get a refill (ask them to perform a leak sniffer test and also set off a decontaminant bomb in the car too )

Your best bet by far here is to not try and wire in your HU directly but use an Autoleads lead from Halfords to plug the ISO connector on your HU directly into the existing plug. There should be plenty of threads in the audio section about it. 3. The air con doesn't blow very cold. I've looked in the small spy glass, and there is a bit of gas / liquid flying through. The water bottle is the radiator expansion tank, nothing to do with the air con. I believe you are supposed to be able to see bubbles in the spy glass to start with and then they are supposed to disappear. If they don't you're low on gas. Guest samcoombes
thanks guys. I have the autoleads adaptor for the stereo, but the aerial still wont go up. I did a search, and it said to connect the blue ANT. wire to the red/black and pink. I did this, but still nothing. The spy glass shows bubbles all the time - so I guess the air con needs gassing then? Can I use the Halfords kit? It's £40, but I wasn't sure if it was any good. Any ideas on the mirrors not folding? (they used to!) Thanks for the help so far!

markymark
Looking through the view glass for the air con. should only be clear. If there is signs of bubbles then yes it needs re-gasing.
