Darren-K
I'll definitely give you that one, because as a person she was fantastic with all her charity work, for that noone can knock the hope she gave people. However she was fed a very raw deal as well by being victim to a unconfirmed accident. However what benefits (apart from tourism) do the other members of monarchy provide, yes they may do the odd charity thing but they don't really do anything apart from attend posh do's every now and then? well its going off subject mate but the monarchy here are respected all over the world ( yes some would disagree) and add stability to the nation, and remember the queen owns the uk. the monarchy have owned Britain and later Uk for hundreds of years. Bobbeh
Great logic there buddy. If YOU need something that someone else OWNS and lets say that they were NOT willing to give it to YOU, YOU would then go ahead and do whatever it takes to get hold of it. Isnt that called THEFT? Why do they call it a WAR, its a flippin INVASION? Isnt that exactly why Saddam invaded Kuwait?
imi
Difference between a war and an invasion depends on which side you are on dude. If you are invading its a war, if you are invaded then its an invasion but no-one cares. There is a difference, not that subtle either. WAR An armed conflict between countries or groups that involves killing and destruction INVASION Military a hostile entry of an armed force into a country’s territory, especially with the intention of conquering it
Darren-K
Isnt that exactly why Saddam invaded Kuwait? saddam was a gangster and took his position at gunpoint , now that is a fact. Iraq was a lot more stable before saddams intervention.
JustGav
The only one good thing about war is that technology gets developed which slowly makes it way to general population. As far as oil being the only source of energy is rubbish as well, they have already proved that with diesels running on rapeseed oil. Think about how the world economy would suddenly change if it was allowed to happen. All of sudden you have got these oil-free, but farming rich countries like africa and believe it or not canada suddenly becoming the new super powers. Canada would produce around 10% of supplies. imi
The only one good thing about war is that technology gets developed which slowly makes it way to general population. JustGav
Depends where this "general" population resides. Depends what non-general population gets exploited to satisfy the general population. Bobbeh
INVASION Military a hostile entry of an armed force into a country’s territory, especially with the intention of conquering it Imi do you seriously think we invaded Iraq to conquer it? If the west were serious about total domination you wouldnt get any insurgent activities or rebellion as they'd have been totally wiped out regardless and the place totally leveled in all probability. dangerous brain
What would you call americas failed intervention in vietnam? If they arent very carefull they'll get left holding the firebrand on their own and it'll be vietnam all over again.
SUPRASUZUKI
You guys are on a roll tonight........Classic. I asked you a couple of questions. I take it you don't intend to answer? I therefore assume your Supra runs on fresh air and you grow your own food in order not to rely on this country's transport infrastructure, thus allowing you to dissociate yourself from this alledged oil THEFT. Wake up, my boy, you're part of the problem unless you don't use oil.

Another classic Mr Suzuki, just thought I'd quote you incase you go back and change your post.....its too good for anyone to miss Bobbeh - I stand corrected. I can see the truth. We went in to liberate the Iraqi people from the cruel dictator that was Saddam. We went in there to give the ordinary Iraqi person Freedom and this would be by enforcing (sorry) / implenting democracy (goverment, buy the people for the people just like our own). We are completely gobsmacked at the outcome of our moralistic actions. Why do all these people hate us, we were only trying to help them...... we always meant well. Bet this is what Bush-Lair say every night before going to bed "I so want to be loved............................"
