bungy
TOTAL SCAM and well documented at the moment. Some have even fallen for a cheque made out for the cost of the car and shipping so that you pay cash on collection the shipping agent because you believe you have funds to cover, and then the cheque bounces and you've paid someone to steal your car. Matt H
Tell him you work for NTL and managed to track his location down. Next tell him that one of your freinds was scammed out of his car from scum like him and both of you have just booked a plane ticket and the only luggage your taking is a set of plyers and some fish hooks.................. oh and you only expect cash
DaveK
I think you should have said you're happy with the bank draft - but you'd like it delivered by his business associate by hand - and that you will pay it into your account immediately and if the bank says it looks OK then his associate can drive the car away. Then I think we should all be visiting you when the associate comes to pay. And we'll "explain" to him why trying to scam people's cars from them is a bad idea. I'm pretty sure he'd get the message...........

Sheefa
TOTAL SCAM and well documented at the moment. Some have even fallen for a cheque made out for the cost of the car and shipping so that you pay cash on collection the shipping agent because you believe you have funds to cover, and then the cheque bounces and you've paid someone to steal your car. The bankers draft will clear your account for about 3 days, and then you'll have a notification from your bank advising that the full balance hasn't been credited to your account and you're also going to get charged bank fees, most likely for going overdrawn! He walks away with your car, you lose approx. £5k, and you have to spend another £2k on a nice PSG sniper rifle and customs fees to smuggle the rifle in, locate the worthless piece of shit and shoot the fuk*er in the head. Stay well clear buddy. Greg
Supra_Star
A friend of mine sold a car in reponse to one of these emails only there was the addition of they were going to pay 5k extra into his account and could he withdraw it and give the cash to the business associate when he collects the car to cover his expenses transporting the car and for the shipping. Foolishly he did this (shock horror) and a few days later he was arrested by police for money laundering. It was a terrible time and he lost thousands.... his car, the draft was fake and the 5k of his own cash
