really?!! I ve been told they are a straight swap though!!

 

I also though that and asked Gzaerojon for a quote as he is the expert in light refurbs.

 

He is looking into it but his initial reaction was as follows....

 

there is a problem with doing this though, and that they are very different in comparison the backs of the uk lights has a not so deep groove to take the glass lens, also the insert part fits onto the headlight backing then the glass lens fits over the top, but on the facelifts, the insert screws to the lens first then fits to the backing.

 

i'm not sure if it can be done.

the only way really is to just open up the glass light, remove the insert and modify the facelift insert to fit, but it would be a custom cutting job.

Sounds like too much of a headache then, beter stick with my facelift lights, only a few days til I get them back

i know steve manley does them at £250 a pair but what i'm saying is, people off the forum who go to there local mr t will pay alot more than the ebay ones.

it's only thanks to cj that we can get them at that price.

i've rang a few different dealers now to check, there all dearer than the one's on ebay, so don't knock em.

 

Are you sure they are using the right part number, that looks like the price for facelift lights to me.

The standard price for uk lights withput discopunt is around £270. But as said if someone doesn't sign up here and is happy to pay that who cares

i did say it was a uk car and that i wanted glass headlights when i phoned around, i think it vary's from dealer to dealer
