Alex
Looks like some idiots want congestion charging in Norwich now...they want to tie it to Norwich Union's pay as we spy system and have it all run by First Buses (who can't even run a bus company)... It's a cluster fcuk in the making and some idiot tree huggers have voted yes. Can you all please vote on the poll here http://new.edp24.co.uk/Default.aspx (Vote NO!!! ) Thank you from the people of Norwich

michael
I think it would be a good thing in Norwich as long as they only do it on a small scale like Durham - stopping the constant flow of chav goons from driving up and down through the centre has to be a reason in itself. Alex
You've just stopped access to all Carparks in Norwich. This will kill of the city centre.
jim_supra
I voted no, it's nearly 50 50.
Digsy
To be fair I think Norwich has a pretty good park and ride system for its size. There's...what? 3 or four of them all around the outer ringroad and they usually wind up costing less than parking inside the city itself. BUT, I don't think Norwich is congested - hence no justification for a charge. The main reason I use the park and ride system (usually around the Christmas shopping period) is that the inner city carparks are always full up - not because I can't get to them because of traffic jams. ..as I like to point out at time like this, Norwich Council once installed traffic calming speed humps in a kerb crawling area. That made me chuckle. BTW I voted no
Havard
It's 50.72 Yes - 49.28 No (If that adds up?) Come on peeps.! H.

Alex
Indeed Norwich has 4 Park and Ride's which are heavliy used. The centre isn't congested...and it's very pedestrian friendly already - it's simply an attempt to tax us more...
michael
You've just stopped access to all Carparks in Norwich. This will kill of the city centre. Woohoo I win. Maybe this will encourage my Norwich based family to move north so I don't have to drive on those boring roads

FFS...no wonder govt. walks all over us. No im not saying that, i gave my vote although i know the only reason this is done is so the Government can say "Oh well we gave you a chance but we're still gonna do it". Hope the votes win to show that people really do have a voice, but im not holding my breath.
