boombastictiger
HI I need to change the clutch on my 1995 NA MANUAL I would like to know how much the prices of clutches, starting from OEM, then uprated. Also would anyone be able to tell me the difference, if any, that I would expect from an uprated clutch? One last question, before my clutch started slipping I didnt realise it was going.....now I realise the signs other than the slipping. How much power would have been robbed just before the slipping started if any? Thanks
Wez
I think with an NA i would stick to the stock unit.
Whitesupraboy2
You can buy a OEM replacement clutch from the states alot cheaper then here. works out around (£100 delivered) and it cost me £150 to have it fitted. I went for an uprated one and personally i wouldnt do it again a bit too on off for me. The uprated one came to about £160 delivered.

Kool, what are meant to be the advantages of uprated clutches, do they actually help improve performance or do are they just meant to last longer? Wez
Uprated clutches are suppose to hold more torque but unless you have done any mods stick with the stock unit. A lot of uprated clutches use pressure plates with a higher clamping force, this makes them feel heavier to use.
supRo
Kool, what are meant to be the advantages of uprated clutches, do they actually help improve performance or do are they just meant to last longer? Suppose to take more power and punishment depending on the type. But if you are stockish performance then I would stick to a stock clutch. Just for guideline I bought an Uprated RPS clutch, RPS lightened flywheel, the two (Toyota) bearings, set of new (Toyota)flywheel bolts and the two snap rings (Toyota) for £720 ish all in from MVP. I think it's about £300 cheaper than what it would have cost here.
