supRo
A pikey has had a go breaking into my Sister's Corsa (MK I). The passenger door has been wedged apart from the middle of the door where the window is as marked on the picture. There is an inch gap now between the door and window. Anyway of sorting this out or is it a new door jobbie? Thanks, Ro
Ian W
Can't really see it as the picture is so small but it looks like it'll need a new door to me mate.
michael
A new (2nd hand) door is probably the cheapest and easiest option but I would have thought that a bodyshop would be able to put it back as it was.
Pete
Mk1? Door from a scrappy would be the cheapest fix. Or a large mallet.
RobSheffield
Agree on the cheap second hand door approach

garetheves
I had this done to mine a number of years ago when i was a student. they prized it back from the top of the A frame to try to unlock the door. It was Deadlock so they had to then wind down the window instead. TBH i fixed it myself, bent the frame back into position with a bit of force and a piece of timber used as a pivot. Then a bit of bodyfiller where the metal had creased (on mine it was the point where the window frame meets the door just above the handle), then a quick few coats of primer, paint and laquer. Looked like new and all for approx £30 using Halfords tinned paint and their own body filler. Sold it a few years later and the guy never noticed. (bit wrong i know but the door was sturdy as hell and didnt pose any problems.)
Pete
Then a bit of bodyfiller where the metal had creased.... I did this on my first car - Austin Metro. It looked like a blind one handed man had done it.
supRo
Thanks for the comments. It seems the outer door skin is warped outwards so I don't think it can be put back. Manual window works fine still. New door I guess. I would have thought going in via pulling out the window frame would easier for the thief! That's the more common method.
