michael
I picked up an old (1999) copy of EVO the other day and noticed a '96 RZ for sale in the back. Red manual with 5000 miles on the clock - £29,000. Crikey.
Suprasteve
does that mean a silver one would have fetched £30,
colsoop
If only they still commanded those figures (sigh) JICs website used to have a few cars around that mileage and figure.
jevansio
I find it hard to believe that the Supra can drop any more in value, I mean for £10K you can get a great 6 Sp TT, how much car for your money is that, does anyone reckon the price will start to plateau or will it just keep dropping as more of them are imported? fat_controller
i reckon there gonna double. i'll just keep telling myself that so that it won't hurt so much when i next go on a supra shopping spree
D3xt3r
You guys over there keep importing more and more cars even after the market is saturated (I would say its actually over saturated at the moment). Special cars will still fetch a good price but the normal stuff will keep dropping I suspect.
DaveK
I had my TT about 7 or 8 years ago - and the import thing was only just taking off. I couldn't actually afford a TT - I had £20K and I couldn't find any that were under £22-23K. I tried a Mits. GTO - but it felt sooooo slow, I ruled them out. Then I tried an RX7 - was an excellent car (and the first one I'd seen that truly matched the advert) but had a misfire on the testdrive. Dealer said he'd sort it - and I agreed to buy subject to that. But before the deal was closed, I heard they have a habit of self destructing every 45k miles (a mazda dealer told me that) - so I told the guy I would pull out of the sale. His answer was : Ok - but I've got a black TT 6 speed Supra on it's way over - you can have that for £20K if you like. It was a fantastic car - and at that time was an absolute bargain - although it was on a K plate, so was already about 5 years old. I'd actually like to hunt down and kill the ex who persuaded me to sell it.
