Branners
can you give a bit more detail on the 'wireless modem'? Its possible if you have somebody else next door on the same wireless channel that the quality may get knocked down a bit and that takes the speed with it. BASHTHEBISHOP
I take it u have rebooted the modem? What speed does it tell you you are getting on your pc for the modem? 54mbps? 11 mbps? hover mouse over 2 pcs on your sys tray in bottom right hand corner. turn off the windows firewall - see if this makes a diff? turn off the zone alarm firewall? cleared cookies, cache, temp files? Supra-Dupra
START > RUN > type "msconfig" press enter, select startup, deselect all the programs you dont NEED running on startup, Eg msn messenger, quicktime, realplayer, msoffice. Leave on anti Virus, spy guard, firewall etc. Control Panel > Internet Options > History change to 3 days (or 2 if ur on daily) Get on ebay buy some RAM 1GB about £40. Your flying.
