Maybe big, windmill-looking three spokes will make a return, or Venoms? I used to love both but wouldn't touch them now!!

That made me laugh Chris

You would not beleive how many Jap imports still come over with 3 spokes,

I had them on my FTO when it arrived in the UK, I just have a personal like for 5 spokes so changed them,

But i still had 20 bids for the 3 spokes on ebay ...ha ha

Shopping lists look crap and make you look like a chav.

Your new one looks a real stunner..

Again some could question the bodykit ...

This Chav thing is just used out of context, Seems anything different is chav

Real a shame as it will stop people being different and trying new styling looks

That bodykit ON YOUR NEW one i must say looks absolutley fantastic

We are all very behind with this remember as we in the UK only got into the JDM thing in the late 90's Japan has had this look for years in the car and street cultures, it even sporned Hollywood films such as 2F2F.

What is the JDM scene in Japan then :search:

cars built and used for Japanese Domestic market, New and used

Although 2nd hand isn't common as the Japs don't buy secondhand cars in Japan as its classed as buying someone elses bad luck... oh and of course the "Shaken"

ALL GOOD NEWS FOR US THOUGH...

All the cars we so deseratley want to buy and have been buying to bring over here,

LOL. I remember buying a set of Antera 17" three spokes for my Capri - they were the shit then!!!! Not so sure nowadays - especially as almost every manufacturer then went and produced their cars with a variation of the three spoke:(

Having said that, I'd still love a set of the deep dish three spoke rims from one of the Japanese makers (think they're Do-Lucks or something) :D :d

:chav:QUESTION: Are shopping lists acceptable on the supe?:chav:

I used to laugh at people with shopping lists on their cars, but I think the one on mine really suits it. (Matches the colour). I think the way my car is going is really tasteful too! (Will post up pics in a few weeks when the car is looking a bit neater!)

Note: I don't have a big veilside sticker on the side (taken off after i bought it).

:yes::chav:

Blimey Capris.. now we are talking...

I still have fond long distant memories of mine, and these guys think the Supra is bad in the wet... ha ha

You've not lived............. if you never drove a Capri especially the 2.8 with no LSD in the wet ... ohh and that bonnet bulge..

You never knew what was under the bonnet of one as they all had that bulge, they even did a 1.3 ohv version

No kidding you could get in the engine bay and stand next to the engine!!!

I'm ashamed to admit it though....

But the first time i drove a Supra it did strangley bring back the odd memory of a Capri

Must be the rear wheel drive handling (or lack of it!!)

LOL. My Crapi had a rover 4l V8 in it!! Never mind wet weather, the dry was iffy - but sooooo much fun. Proper chav'd up with a full Zakspeed kit, chromed slotmags (til I got the Anteras) - the works:) :)

No shopping list though:( Been seriously considering that one for my Supe though:)

Some people on here make me piss my pants with amusement, JDM scene indeed LOL!!!

Yes for those who have been into the Jap import scene for 10 +years ... and have seen it grow into what it is now, and those who are connected with the import business

and what really makes us want "to pee our pants with amusement" is when people who own Grey imports ask.... what does JDM mean ????

well that speaks for itself really ...

So all the drifters / time attack people and all the mags and everything else that goes with it......... yep it makes you want to pee your pants ........

But as said earlier a pointess thread as everyone will have their own opinion(s) on what they want on their car,

The JDM scene is not just about just big power and deep pockets...

But hey what we know we've only been involved in it for 10+ years,

I know glutton for punishment thats me , But it livens up a cold Friday eve stuck indoors with her nagging !!!

But you'd be amazed how many people who "know everything about " imports ask what does JDM mean, and what is the shaken

And we are talking people who are seroiusly into the Jap scene,

never fails to amaze...

I'm gutted i never got into properly in the boom...

Hence my mate is 42 ... made a few million quid out of it and is now retired in Spain with his 23 year old wife ... how annoying is that!!

Very!! A bit like these people that seem to manage to make loads of money out of nothing (NCP, You Tube etc.).

I do know what JDM is - not too sure if I totally understand the 'Jap scene' though :)

If you love your Supra ... have no intention of buying british ever again, but who'd want to

Go to all the meets ,

belong to the clubs,

Spend a fortune over the year on the Mags

and are passionate about imports and the Motorsport side of it as well Drifting, Time attack etc etc ...

i reckon you just maybe into the Jap Scene ... without realising it ha ha ;) ;)
