Branners
I had to rush this years crop and they didnt come out so well. My 4 year old son did his own pumpkin carving this year and did a great job though. We only had 1 set of trick and treaters, bunch of girls dressed as St Trinians, unfortunately my wife went to the door and only told me after they left. Damn my luck. I think our mass of scafolding scared everybody else off, so a huge bag of chocolate treats now sits waiting in the kitchen. JB

Charlotte
I don't, bloody pikey kids coming round and begging:D Why do we have to follow American crap all the time? Ermm it began in Ireland as a Celtic tradition. It was taken to America by the Irish.
Paul
Ermm it began in Ireland as a Celtic tradition. It was taken to America by the Irish. Whatever:) Still loads of kids knocking at the door and being annoying:blink: If I were a parent I'd give them a tenner each rather than let them humiliate themselves and take the risk of frightening or upsetting the ederly by knocking on doors. OK, so maybe that's boring but those that don't have kids shouldn't have their antics forced down our throats in the name of some massive commercial 'tradition'. Ba humbug:d

Ba humbug:d Chavvy kids just exploit it. Like hanging around outside the local shop saying 'penny for the guy' in September. It wasn't always like that and you don't have to answer your door. No, but when the spoilt brats see your light on and bend the aerial on the car or run a key down it as they leave then it ain't funny anymore. The chavvy kids need a good slap but you can't do that cause it ain't PC. I'd give them a treat, my boot up their arse as they run down the drive
DaveK
I have to say - I agree with Paul. And I don't answer my door. And any kid who tries "trick" anywhere near my house / car / town will learn a valuable life lesson!

I can see how people abuse it now.
