Do poppy's cost anything?

Can you point out these posts of me abusing and name calling against other members?

And I mean before tossers like you came wading in without reading and comprehending what I have written and threatening me? Perhaps you are incapable, I realise I shouldn't pick on you for that. Bless.

Pick on me??? Ahahahaha.. Yes please! Please try, I need some entertainment.

Ok, here we go....

1. "Your talking out of your arse..." (I cant be bothered to insert the quote part, but that is a quote from you to me.... On of all things me trying to explain to you why I and alot of people joined the services. But you, who have NEVER joined up would seem to know better...... Yeah, right. C*nt.

2. Calling Bondy a fu*kwit..

etc.

The war in Iraq, well that is a different conversation isnt it?

My points were that ALL services from 1945 to present helped keep this a free country, not just the ones during the war. You made a point of inserting your head up your arse (and its still there by the grade of your last two posts) and only seeing an unpopular war and therefore coming to the limited brain power conclusion that all soldiers are there because they want to fight etc etc Yawn yawn.

Having a discussion is one thing, having an argument with a mong is another..

Threats, well I hate to point out what I said, but I suppose I had better as you are unable TO READ......

And that was calling ANY service man the names you did would result in an interesting conversation.

No where did I say "Grunt Grunt Grunt" (nice try mong, if you had as much knowledge as you think you do you would know that Grunts are a term for US SOLDIERS!!! Not British Soldiers, who are called Tommies (after Tommy Aitkins), Tom's, and Squaddies) and now where did I say I was going to kick etc threat threat threat Yawn Yawn Yawn? Exactly – I didn’t!

But if your cwrying your likkle baby blue’s out over that ‘threat’ then I apologise, I never meant it as a ‘personal’ threat against you, no matter how you try to annoy, you just haven’t got the X factor needed!

Yes you were talking out of your arse. This "war" in Iraq is defending my freedom is it?

Do you want a fu*king round of applause?

I stated I had issues with how the money from the poppy fund was spent, and have always stated I have the utmost respect for people in the armed forces.

Well you actually said you had that respect for the ones in WW1 and 2 NOT for the present lot as they all joined for a fight etc... Yawn.

At no point did I mention Iraq/Afghanistan. I mentioned 1945 to present, including the cold war menace from the 3rd Shock Army/Russia/Eastern Block.

If you want a conversation then we can, if you want an argument then we can, but when you start calling me names then it becomes open season.

So, do you want to revert to normal adults having a conversation or do you wish to continue swearing and calling me and other members’ names?

Your choice.

and sorry Ian,

If Hitler had won I'm sure the world would be a far more unpleasant place to live.

Not sure the numbers but if you think the German concentration camps were bad, the SS's had for bigger expectations for the rest of the world.

Agree was just play devils advocate. Someone mentioned the Polish well we wouldn't have 632k of them over here now.

Who's worst Hitler or Bush both had the same plan take over the world. Concentration camps whats Guantamino Bay ??

Stalin!

He killed far more of his own population and the rest of Europe than Hitler and Bush combined!

Did you know that Concentration Camps were invented by us?

In the Boer War, the Boer's were using local farm's to get food and suplies from so Kitchener decided to round up the local (and outlieing) population and pup them into 'Concentration Camps'.

The problem then started when Dhiptheria broke out and killed 90% of the camps populations.

Bit of a whoppsie that one!

Yes, me responding to one of your posts where you completely chose to disregard what I wrote and chose to have a go at me after deciding that I had it in for the armed forces. Wrong.

2. Calling Bondy a fuckwit..

Yes... after he had threatened me with violence.

The war in Iraq, well that is a different conversation isnt it?

Yes it is, but you were lumping in currently serving armed forces people in with WW2 etc. I thought they were different too.

And that was calling ANY service man the names you did would result in an interesting conversation.

What names were they?

No where did I say "Grunt Grunt Grunt"

No you didn't, I snipped out the bollocks, and yes you are a grunt. You've proved it...

and now where did I say I was going to kick etc threat threat threat Yawn Yawn Yawn? Exactly – I didn’t!

Oh I'm sorry how about, "And I really hope you go to an Ace Cafe Jap night, or JAE because now you have annoyed me by your sheer rudeness you fuck wit. So, lets see if you want to say that to my or any other service person’s face."

You chose to interprate my posts as you saw fit and decide to take offence to it. That ain't my problem, and I can assure you I'm not crying about it. Quite the opposite, I find this all most amusing.

Grunt...

You watch too much trashy US tv to know what it is your arguing about there. And how have I proved it?? (That I am a grunt)

In the US the term grunt is just for Infantry. You were trying to use it on people who were in the Air Force! Whatever - just shows you were trying to use an uneducated point as part of your argument.

Anyways, do you really want me to reply and do mini quotes like you have??????

Your last paragraph can also be turned back to you, because no where was I disregarding your posts and decideing you had it in for anyone. I was replying to your somewhat biased and blinkered view on the Armed Forces. Which still stands.

Anyway, nice to be able to 'discuss' things with you rather than having to respond to swearing and being called names.

Grunt : "an unskilled or low-ranking soldier or other worker"

Perhaps you would prefer "meat head" then? That was more along the lines of what I was getting at I suppose. Interchange as you see fit, you proved it when you threatened me, hoped I never had children, called me names etc. etc. (water off a duck's back by the way)

Yes you were...

...but perhaps I should again state my opinions on the poppy fund? Just so it's clear?

I commend anyone who is a member of our armed forces today, it's no doubt a difficult and worthy job. I agree wholeheartedly with the reasons the poppy fund was setup. I do not agree with how all the money from the fund is spent today. Many people did/do not agree with how the money is spent and even set up the white poppy fund as a result.

I personally would not contribute to the poppy fund, if it's a subject close to your heart I commend you for donating. However, I believe that members of the public should not have to donate. The government should have done more to help and should continue to do so... but they do not.

These days it is the individual's choice to join up, it's a career decision only they make. Many of the "old boys" did not have that luxury, nor would they have had life insurance etc. or left the army with a significant pension. If I were crushed under a server rack tomorrow, or electricuted by a dodgy UPS unit, I wouldn't expect any member of the public to contribute to help support my family after my death... but I would commend anyone who wished to do so. No it's not really the same thing at all, but my point is if you choose to risk your own life (admirably) then you can't expect everyone to pat you on the back and hand over their money, not in this day and age where you chose out of your own free will to pursue that career choice.

Can people in the forces take out death in service and life insurance policies? I have both and the risks to me are minimal, it seems like a no-brainer if your life is actually at threat and you care about those who could be left behind.

Not an attack, simply curious.

I could play the part of the Ew-En here and arrange a peace keeping meeting on neutral ground. Combatants could come round for dinner and a few ales. If my wifes cooking doesnt kill you, you can then continue hostilities with your choice of the weapons I have to hand. Frozen kippers are quite dangerous, and I have a couple of large hard french loaves. Janes feather duster is deadly up to 20 yards, or you could flick each other with the contents of the cats litter tray.

Probably the most sensible post Ive made yet.

I have just reread this thread after being away and I find it a bit sad that members have had to resort to swearing at each other to get a point across. Once this has happened the thread has lost all meaning.

I am as much to blame with my comments and I would like to take this opportunity to apologise to Micheal for the comments I directed at you, they were uncalled for. You are entitled to you view as much as I am.

As always I shall be joining my friends in church this Sunday to celebrate Remembrace Sunday and wearing my poppy with pride.
