Thorin
I always think that if you fit a steering lock the would-be thief may just think, "oh they probably haven't got an immobiliser, I'll break in and have that off in a jiffy" (only with more chav-speak). Same with people who remove the stereo front or GPS device when they leave the car parked up. The thief is just going to break in anyway as 9 times out of 10 it's probably just in the glove box. It's a supra, if they want it they'll try anyway. There's plenty of escorts and nova's if they wanted an easy job.
mikeyb10supra
Do you have separate alarm and immobiliser flashing lights then? Yeah, I have one alarm LED in the window and another down just to the right of the sterring wheel + a big feck off yellow disc lock thing that goes on overnight
jamesmark
Still amazes me that people still buy and use steering locks and gear stick locks, as they are as much use as a chocolate fireguard, they are proven to last all but a few seconds to a proper car thief, they might cause a little trouble to an opportunist. It still boils down to the fact, no matter what you have on your car or where you park it if a thief wants it they will have it.

how_supra
For some reason Im more concerned by the thought of vandals attacking my car with their keys or knives more then them breaking in and stealing it. I've got an imobilizer and an alarm, but that doesn't stop them keying it.

Even the Thatcham ones are not up to scratch.
