Thorin
As you can see from the following mahoosive pic... The disc centres and calipers are a tad rusty. What's the best way to clean them up? Wire brush then sandpaper and paint with some black hammerite or something?
Alex
Yeah wire brush on a drill and then paint them with hammerite...just don't forget to mask the disks Unless you own a VW.

Kranz
Hmmmm. I'd scrape it off with a chisel then give it a good going over with a twisted wire brush on an angle grinder, then get some jenolite rust remover on it..... and finally some smoothrite or some of that spray enamel. Edit - Dont forget the face mask and goggles for the angle grinder & goggles & gloves for the Jenolite.

merckx
I used the spray paint you use on pot belly stoves, a nice dull black. You don't want that part of the disc shiny.
Kittyclaws
The discs on our Mazda 6 started to go that way, so I also carried out the wire brush, hammerite method

Thorin
Thanks guys, I'll give it a go when I can be arsed Gonna spray the calipers red I think, and I should have some of the stencils somewhere to do the supra logo. off topic but what tyre dressing do you use? theyre shiny as a mo f00ker! Some old crap in a can that you spray on and let it dissolve... of course the tyres had done less than 20 miles which helps.

Chris Wilson
get them bead blasted, but they'll onlt rust again, within hours. Unless you drive like a granny most paints will burn off, try an exhaust matt black finish.
