Tricky-Ricky
Yet another thing thats testing my patience, when i first got the cat the idle was a bit weird, when cold it would idle slow and fast when hot (winter time) during the summer i cleaned the idle control valve and re set the idle parameters as per the manual, all seemed OK for a while, but now the idle is starting to get faster and now its idling at 1,000 RPM, or more, but it seems to be random! yesterday it was fine today 1,000 RPM + will try resetting it but i don't hold out much hope , water temp sensor is OK not 100% about intake temp sensor, anything else that will affect idle? fredm
Mine suffers from random idle speed too. I cleaned up the ISCV (wasn't dirty though) and it hasn't made much difference. It idles at about 1000 rpm which is a pain with an auto then 2 minutes later it's working properly at 650 rpm. I guess I'll just have to buy a new ISCV and see if that cures it. osso
How tight is your throttle cable? Air leak? even a small air leak in the power steering vacuum hose could be enough to increase the revs.. I'd check your vacuum hoses around your inlet manifold.

Ibrar Jabbar
I have the same problem at the moment, idle speed between 1100-1500, going to strip the inlet manifold of and re check the gaskets this weekend.
