Im getting a slight whine at the rear end when i accelerate, and it gets louder the faster you go (a bit like the waltzer!) Anyhow im sure its just a wheel bearing so does anyone know the part no or where i can get a replacement from for a 94 TT Aerotop at all? Ian C Posted October 30, 2006 Share Posted October 30, 2006 The oil types you will find talked to death in the FAQs and guides just here: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=56684 You'll find lots of other useful stuff in there too The wheel bearing is a kit that costs about £120 and needs a serious press to get the old one out and possibly to fit the new one. Wow, £120 for a wheel bearing, i take it its more than just a wheel bearing you get then? - god i remember when a wheel bearing for my Escort cost just £15 and took 30 mins to change Do you know where i could pick one up from or is it a dealer visit? I don't know the part number but have a search and see what you can find You get the bearing and a bunch of seals. The bearing is absolutely massive though, unsuprisingly.
