Borat the movie

Yeh me too.

Just watched the clip and I am absolutely sure, that the clip was filmed in Romania. The car being towed is a Dacia, unique to Romania as far as I know. It was launched in France in the 70s and when Renault gave up on the production of it there, the complete plant was sold to Ceacescu (who I understand never honoured his deal with Renault, and Romania produced it for about another 25 years! You still see loads of almost new ones cruising around the country, really surreal. Anyhow looking at the buildings, people and cars, I reckon it was filmed in Romania. Think I read somewhere recently that Sasha Baron-cohen has never been to Kazakistan so it cant be there.

Longer clip here, and one the group of pheasants seeing him off towards the end says twice "imi pare row" which means in Romanian, I am very sorry. So guys looking at this you can see that obviously Romania has been well prepared for joining the Eu. on Jan 1st. Bet the Romanian government won't want too many people to know it was filmed there.

Anyhow, back on topic, looks like it will be a good film, may go and see it after work one night next week.
