RedM
Hardcore Punk or Hardcore Dance? I'm of the punky persuasion with added encyclopedic knowledge.
jaymdee
To me 'hardcore' is fast punk music, not "Hardcore...You know the score..." dance bollocks. Bands such as DOA, Dead Kennedys, Nomeansno, Madball, Sick Of It All etc starting off in early 80s playing CBGBs in NY

Bobbeh
I have some 'Sick of it All' and tbh they were classed as a hardcore Metal band when I was buying their albums.

I was going to say so but I didn't want to come across as a sneering elitist. For me HardCore is Black Flag, Minor Threat (best band ever), 7 Seconds, Dead Kennedys, No For An Answer, Youth of Today, Bad Brains and not forgetting our own much loved, much missed and much (still) needed Crass. Darren-K
well some people define hardcore dance as what we ooop north call "bonkers" music,. bonkers music is all hi-speed with pitched up vocals like mini mouse,.. so no i hate the stuff !! but hardcore as in german schranz music etc yeh i lurve it
