Homer
Does anyone know where to get a flange to fit an HKS SSQV to an IC pipe? The HKS SSQV I have has an adaptor on it for the stock system but it's not suitable to weld to the IC pipe.

Sharpie
or what it looked like? I know it's too late now but, the HKS flange looks like the below pic and when welded onto the pipe like the second photo.
tDR
I'm about to have a flange welded onto my GReddy IC piping - was thinking, that pic shows the SSQV to be mounted on the cold side pipe - why not the hot side, given that's where the stock recirculating BOV is? Also, does anyone have any ideas what to use for blocking the stock rubber feed and recirc pipes either side of the stock BOV other than a big bolt and jubilee? Cheers, Brian. Door stops or walking stick ends do the job nicely B&Q usually stock rubber door stop ends in packs of 4, they fit nicely onto metal part and can be secured with jubilee clips Come to think of it I've still got a few left in a pack somewhere, PM me you addy and I'll put them in the post. I've got mine on the hot side too. I think it is supposed to be as close to the throttle body as possible though.
Sharpie
and if you are still running with the stock BOV too, there is no where to put it Photo taken on the back seat of a Lexus IS200 - nice leather seats!

I've seen a few discussions about BOV placement on various forums but the majority seem to say fit as close to the turbo as possible On the stock cars it's as close to the turbo's as they could get, same for almost all standard turbo'd cars. I've seen a very similar discussion on sxoc as people fitting a Bailey Evo DV all were using the supplied kit to fit it to the cold side close to the throttle body, but anyone buying a JDM BOV kit all fitted theirs to the hot side very close to the turbo as HKS, Sard, Blitz all supplied a kit with a replacement hot side pipe to whack in with the BOV mounted on it. On the hot side on the Supra it's also a short run for the pressure reference line using the stock one with a nice neat short run of silicon hose to your new BOV. Cheers, Brian.
