As above really. Car was in the garage today sorting out my missfire and i hung around for a while. While i was there they checked the ECU for faults and told me i had a Toms ECU fitted instead of the factory one. Ive heard of them before but never read any reports. Are they any good?? Whats the advantage over stock, if any??

One of the Aristo guys I know has one of these, basically think it's a more aggressive map and also doesn't need an SLD as it's delimited as standard on the TOMS version.

To quote off his website http://www.lexusvertex.com:

Removes boost limit (more boost, more hp), fuel cut and speed limiter. Also allows rev range to 8000rpm. Boost and fuel maps have to be programmed by laptop. ECU in engine bay, very easy install.

They're expensive so you're lucky to have one as standard!

Cool. So even if its not a massive bonus i suppose its a fairly good selling point, should i ever sell. Sounds impressive lol.

I had one of these. Here is some background information on it.

When I enquired about it when I first discovered I had one I was told that they cost ~£1000 and were sold on an exchange basis, so that's why previously modified import cars which have been returned to stock still have them in as the owner no longer has the original ECU.

That's going back a few years now though.
