ChrisSZ
Pretty grim round here - the local pikeys seem to celebrate anything/everything with fireworks - giro arrival, first ASBO, pregnancy (double celebration if she waited till she was 14 first), nicked a car, Eastenders on TV - anything. Little buggers. Thankfully they're a fair distance from us but we still hear the bloody things most weekends grr.
Guest not.fussed
Bloody fireworks do my head in. Going to a proper display can be good but when its just a load of herberts settin em off in the early hours its so annoying specially as my dog is so scared of em
colsoop
Devali was a few days ago imj sure some of the firwroks were related to that. I agree though that people shouldn't be able to have them without a licence or perhaps they should have to apply in advance like you see in the local papers for planning permission, so the surrounding neighbours know whats going on and can bring the cats in etc
ivan
Thank goodness it's not just me! Bloody kids round here are letting them off every night right into the small hours. They're not right on the doorstep or anything, but sound doesn't half carry that time of night... I didn't like to say anything in case I'm just turning into a "Grumpy Old Man". Kittyclaws
i love fireworks,, but I agree that there should only be let off on the 5th nov etc, luckly for me there is hardly any let off near me. which was not the case at my last address, it would be every bloody night, but then thats what you get for living near Lego land
R3DG3CKO ROB
Load of kids in the playing fields behind our flat were setting them off last night and the night before.... bl**dy cats were going mental... There is legislation in place regarding fireworks as to when and where you can use them... the police just don't enforce it...

Supragal
wow, not heard any yet thanks God. They should only be allowed on say 3 24 hour periods around the 5th max.
R3DG3CKO ROB
Just to confirm that it is an offence to set fireworks off after 23:00. Apart from bonfire night and other occasions when it's extended. The Department of Trade and Industry have all the details.
