Ric
i went to greentree to look at a supra before i bought mine it was in the same condition, looked like david blunket had painted the thing. so it looks like they supply loads of low rate cars
Scooter
The point about a car 'dealer' using 'mint' is that it gets people to come and look at the car, from there its up to the buyer to actually satisfy themselves that it is, at worse you have had a wasted journey...... ..........describing something as mint that you know someone will buy without viewing is slightly more dubious imo............. JohnA
As I see it, mint means NOT new, NOT as new either. Because if it were "as new" it would proudly say so. Mint is one of those subjective terms that are used to avoid legal problems later on. It means what you want it to mean. Also look under 'weasel words'
Rob
Mint, it's got holes in it. No stop me, I'm killing me self.
tbourner
It's a bit like 'literally'! People seem to abuse that word a hell of a lot as well. "I literally died when I heard the news!". Err..... no you didn't love.

Supragal
I agree it means immaculate, unfaultable like new kinda thing. I think that people say cars etc are mint (knowing they aren't) to get buyers to go and view them and then once they are there it's half the battle. Just think, if someone advertised a car and put "not great" in place of mint they prob wouldn't get a single call. Went to see an 850 volvo that was 'perfect' apparently. P1$$ off was it. Cat C damage and badly repaired, interior damaged etc etc Does annoy me

Immobiliser fault. Nice, if I had £600 extra to spend I would have spent it on a newer V70!!!!

Kranz
There should be two grades: 1) Exactly as it was out of the factory and 2) Used anything else is a waste of time.
