dazla
Is it legal to have your number plate as a sticker on the front bumper and not a plate. could i have a sticker on the bottom of my veilside bumper or does it have to be seen more clearly just abit puzzled as the police are abit funny now with plates. Rayman
Its legal afaik, although it has to be the corect size numbers/letters and clearly visable, bottom of your front bumper, probably wont be visable, bonnet would be better!
Kranz
If you have one and its the right size and spacing you should be ok. It *should* really be vertical, but on the nose cone like mine seems to be ok.
Ian W
no, stick on number plates are illegal. however, there are members who have these and don't get pulled over as the plate is still clearly visible. i guess it just depends on whether the police officer would pull you over for it or not. (i.e. is it the correct size and position for a std plate)

Ewen
Technically illegal. As far as the exact spec laid out by law, they fall down on the reflectivity of the background afaik. However, if they are the correct size, have the correct sized letters and spacing and are clearly visible / readable from the front, they dont seem to attract too much unwanted attention. I've had two MOT passes from two different places with mine, and Ive survived close scrutiny from the police too. An officer commented on it, but only to make a point.....as there was no valid reason why I couldnt fit a 'normal' plate to my car, I may have problems with another member of the force at a later date. So far so good.
Ian W
i used Craigsplates. as they're not road legal you don't need to send off the documentation you normally would to get number plates nowadays
