1995 M-reg 1.4l Vauxhall Astra 'LS' for sale

Anyone want a daily driver/winter car?

I bought this the other week as well as a Scorpio from Muffleman, wasn't sure which to keep but I've grown quite attached to the Scorpio now :blush: lol and the cruise/leather/electrics/etc are really good for going back & foward to Sheffield to see Kate, so have decided to keep that. Hence the Astra is up for sale.

I'm not a mechanic but there is nothing wrong with it as far as I can tell ('any inspection welcome' and all that). It starts first time with ease and drives very nicely. I put it through an MoT last week and it flew through the emissions etc etc etc (results available) but failed because the front indicator bulbs weren't yellow enough. :D £3.52 later for replacements, it passed.

Basic details as follows;

  • Metallic dark blue~purple
  • 5 door
  • Power assisted steering
  • Central locking
  • Driver airbag
  • Sunroof
  • 1389cc engine = £110 tax/year, cheap insurance etc...
  • 67k miles
  • >12 months MoT (expires 30th Oct 2007)
  • Tax until end Oct 2006
  • the lockable roofbars come with it if you want them, easily removed if not
  • Driver's seat is height adjustable
  • Rear seats fold flat (60/40 split) which gives quite a large load area
  • New exhaust about a year ago
  • starts, stops, goes round corners etc etc

Bad points;

  • small dent to boot hatch where previous owner reversed into a post :rolleyes:
  • no radio
  • a few scratches to the paintwork but nothing horrendous

Anything else you want to know, just ask.

Handful of photos attached, more & higher res ones available on request.

Going to stick it on Autotrader for £600~£650, will sell to a member for £500.

Thanks for looking. :thumbs:

Glad it's okay mate, it was a lot of comfy car for the money, good history and good that all the toys still work.

Hope you shift the Astra :)

how far are you from brighton, im crap with locations!

I'm about 30 miles south of Birmingham as the crow flies, M5 junction 8 is the nearest if you were coming to me from the South.

AA routefinder reckons 190 miles.

Fo reference everyone, my postcode is WR14 3SP. :)

Yeah it's ace! :D I thought I'd 'tolerate' it, figuring it was a big heavy slow thing and the complete opposite of the Supe, but actually it's really, really comfy (the 200 miles back from yours felt like 20) and cruise etc are brilliant for the motorway (and for messing with around town :D). The clincher was when my gf Kate loved it too and her 3 year old son found much amusement climbing in the back door and getting out of the boot. lol Oh yeah, and remote control boot opening, how flash is that! :D

No mate, to clarify, I bought a Ford Scorpio from Muffleman and have decided to keep that as my runaround rather than the Astra.

The reg is M276 TBM.

I've just read yuor PM and tried to call but no-one answered so I'll PM you my number.
