MONKEYmark Posted September 12, 2001 Share Posted September 12, 2001 hi just started tuning my supra got the following BLITZ nurspec cat back exhaust system BLITZ super sound dump valve BLITZ induction kit and i sent for the BLITZ cat replacement pipe it is from dragon autosports i am sure it is not a Blitz part it is stainless steel got it fitted yesterday and what a differance it has made to speed the revs go up very fast it is running a bit lumpy on idle the tick over revs are very low can anyone give me advice about tuning i got told you can not remove the downpipe cat as you get what is called creeping boost i have seen a HKS external wastegate it says it cures 99% of the creeping boost also my cat replacement pipe some times feels like it is vibrating when you hold front brake and have car in Drive on my auto box any help on where to go next or any info thanks for any help mark leeds this is my first post this site looks cool about time we had a uk site for supras Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Phil Wall Posted September 12, 2001 Share Posted September 12, 2001 I think you will need a fuel cut defencer. With your increased boost you may start hitting fuel cut. Repeated hits are not good for the engine. It is a simple job to fit and costs about £60, there are many posts about this on the BBS. If I recall correctly the Blitz downpipe only removes one cat so I wouldn't of though you would have suffered from boost creep.
