Guest Ash
I don't often read the posts on the big-list (as it is called) for reasons that are becoming obvious to many on this BBS. But there is a current thread regarding MKIV oil coolers which contains incorrect information. So to correctly inform everyone here... ALL MKIV's, whether they be Jap or UK-spec, have an oil cooler as standard. It is an oil to water unit sitting at the base of the filter. Guest Martin F
And your opinion on this J ?? I guess it's not as effective as the oil to air unit found on the MKIII, hence the abundance of aftermarket kits.
Paul Booth
Ash reviewed the MKIV oil-water in some detail on an earlier thread, along with proposals for alternatives. You will find a number of useful questions asked and answered if you dig back through the technical archive, somewhere.

Ok i'll take the automatic box cooler for 2 points bob?
Guest Martin F
The UK spec cars have a rear diff cooler. I think that's the one you are thinking of.
