Ewen
Encosed drawing shows the front and plan views of an object, the challenge is to draw the end view. All the lines shown on the drawing are the edges of a solid, and three dimensional object. There are no hidden lines (so no holes or recesses). Ian W
surely the front and plan views don't really help you at all but to tell you that the rear would be square?
Ewen
surely the front and plan views don't really help you at all but to tell you that the rear would be square? The challenge is to draw what the end (or side) view would look like, given the front view, plan view and being told its a solid 3-d object, with no holes or recesses. BTW:) this isnt a wind up, its a question we include in our interviewee aptitude tests. If it spurs you all on, only one in ten of em get it right. Ewen
Is it just a square ? Shaun. No, that wouldnt explain the smaller square outline within the larger one.

Ian W
surely it's just a cube or else you'd see the protrusions from the plan in the front view and vice versa?
jim_supra
like this there's not meant to be any holes or recesses are there?

JustGav
like this Think you may be right... There are no hidden lines (so no holes or recesses). He does say no hidden lines, but the other lines are clearly visible, so it isn't really a hidden line or have I been staring a MS word for too long... Ian W
like this? (just with straight lines ) so the side would just be a square?
