Alex
If anyone wants a Tamiya TA04R with hop-ups and a 1-off custom Esso Ultraflo JGTC Shell with the hand controller batteries spare motor etc...then let me know It's ready to race (just make sure you don't use the Supra shell!! It comes with 2 others (350z and an NSX)) I've not used it let alone raced it...could bear to damage it after building it, doh.

Alex
Batteries Electric motor, 13x2 or something like that (I forget) + the 540(?) that comes with the kit. Two ticks and I'll have photo's of the controller.

Alex
My friend who runs a model shop in Norwich (Kellers) made it for me...the shell cost £100! This was becasue it was made from different kits. The transfers took about 6 months to source! The TA04-R is basically the best chassis Tamiya make for the semi-pro electric racer. It's half carbon half polycarbonate. I feel a pic coming on of the workings...

Alex
Hope this satisfies some curiosity...looking at one of the pics the engine is labelled as a 12x2...this is way way more powerful/faster than the original engine. It come with 3x3300Mah battery packs (the best I could get at the time) which have been cycled a couple of times...and treated as per the manufacturers guidelines. The Battery charger connects to a car battery. NOT THE MAINS! The Steerwheel controller is bloody brilliant I personally find these much much easier than traditional controllers. The V3 speed controller is unlimited...(can control any motor) and doesn't have a reverse, which is normal in race cars. There are other assorted spares like springs and a different set of wheels. I've probably spent over £600 on all the gear...and never used it. Now you know that, I'm open to offers...it's worth what someone will pay for it, but I like it as an ornamant so I'm in no hurry
SupraStar 3000
That is smart! but unfortunately, out of my league Alex, your like myself. Love to own RC models but can't stand the possibility of damaging them I have planes, helicopters, boats, yaughts, cars and mostly never used. I can't standing puting them away damaged. Gamer
I probably would mate but the no reverse and no mains charger really puts me off. I am a noob when it comes to these things but I have been waffling about buying one of them Yokomo drift Supra's. How does this compare to one of them if you know ?
Trig
You can easily drift one of these. You just need to put on drift tyres. But for setup (camber/wheel alignment etc) you have to go with a yokomo. Depends what your after really
Alex
Exactamundo. Just stick on drift tyres and you have a drift moster, full adjustable suspension. The speed controller is what decides if it can go backwards or not...like I said racing ones don't they just slam on the anchors. (I think the idea is to not crash ) The speed controller could be replaced easily enough though. As for the charging thing...well, I used to use a spare car battery...and charge that with a mains based car battery charger if it got low. You could buy a converter to run off the mains too though.
