Hi guys,

1994 MKIV NA. Rev counter is acting up at around 3,000 rpm. Jerks forth and back like 1,000 rpm. Below 3,000 and above 4,000 there are no probs.

Any ideas ?

Tks mates

I might get shot down here...

I'm new to Supra's but intend to get one soon.

I had a 1995 STI Impreze with this same problem. Turned out to just be the cable for the rev counter. If it gets bent in any way, it then kind of acts like a skipping rope inside its housing. As it rubs against it's housing it causes the needle to skip.

You could either remove the cable, grease it up and pop it back in, or get a new cable.

Like I say, may be wrong.
