Simon K
Hi all, Been a member for a while, tend to use search button alot, but cant find answer for my brake servo issue. I have a rz tt facelift, with smaller jap brakes. Ive recently changed the brake pads / fuild. All bleed properly, but the pedal doesnt feel as rigid as it once was. Got a sneaky idea its the master brake servo. So, how do you test a master brake cylinder ?? Should the car be running or off ? is it a case of pressing down hard, and the pedal staying put, or should it slowly sink down ? Any tips would be gratefully recieved. Are the size / pressures of the servo's, on a smaller brake car, the same size of a standard uk - bigger brake car ? Anyone know of anybody selling a very low mileage master brake servo for a mkiv rz tt auto ?? SBK
Alex
Bigger calipers take more fluid ot fill/move them. If the Mastercylinder is passing the same amount of fluid as stock then it will take a longer pedal travel to apply the brakes. If the pedal goes hard after being pumped once then everything is ok. wile e coyote
Did you push fluid back up from brake to master as i was told never to do this as it can damage seals in master . Not much help but thought would mention it !!
