Nick
I'd never heard of any of these. The first sounds like something you should drink cold with the other two and a portion of special fried rice. Never skimp on tyres, especaialy on a powerfull RWD car with winter approaching. I fitted budget tyres to my first car, a 1.3 Escort, that was bad enough... I like Bridgestones, I have SO3's on the Supra and RE01's on the Skyline. These will be changed for RE01R's when I get the new wheels. The Pirelli F1's come highly recommended, and very reasonably priced.
colsoop
Vredestein are a good tyre for wet weather, they came out top in one of those car mag surveys. Steer clear of the Kumho tyres, i bought a set of those for summer last year as they had them in a 275 width. They were terrible in the dry smoking up in 3rd gear when no 2 came online and in the wet Your only looking at an extra £20 a tyre for some known good makes you know it makes sense

Kip
My advice is - save, save, save and get some good rubber, I'm with lockys96 - Toyo's are excellent VFM, they can be got for a lot cheaper than £110 per tyre - I paid £330 for 4, fitted!!! Just shop around. Or do as Pete said - "Just drive into a wall" - (hopefully not though) Ride a cycle until you can get the correct rubber, you won't regret it.. Give Ibrar a call and see what he can do for you - 0121 707 4554.

DamanC
"nankang ditch finders!" The Kumho's i had kept lighting up far too easily, no grip atall!
Thorin
Falken's are very good, I'll probably fit some of those again when I need new tyres. MonkeyMark got some good times at York Drag strip on Khumo's!
cookci
235/35/19's and 265/30/19's ive found falken 452 for 120 a front tyre and 451 for 110 a front tyre on mytyres... seems very good value
martin_a
even better at Camskill £104 for the fronts (452's the 451's aren't meant to be as good says the brother in law an SXOC drifter) Wouldn't touch MyTyres again delivery from them has been pants. Camskill sent the stuff next day. m.
Burna
Bridgestone RE050a - not the cheapest nor the best looking, but fantastic tyres! mattanna
I had nankangs on my n/a supra and found them excellent, in wet, snow or dry, driving like a twat in wet weather tends to make you lose grip not the tyres, they are cheaper because they are manufactured by people who take only $1 per hour as opposed to blokes in Wolverhampton who want £20 per hour, i think it was which or auto expres that did a tyre test and champiro came out on top and beat equivalent michelins, pirellis and goodyears, major tyre manufacturers have not always faired well in tests, and tyres like nankangs meet all european safety requirements and speed rating etc, large amount of money does not always equal good tyre, beware the Jabberwock
Jspec Germany
I mentioned them before and I'll do it again since the weather is almost as crappy here as it is there in the UK rain/wet wise: Pirelli Pzero Nero M+S. By far the best tire I've had in the wet. Read reviews at: http://www.tirerack.com
Raoul H
My car is an everyday driver and I have been using Kumhos (Ecsta Supra, MX, KU31 SPT) for some time now. I find they grip very very well in the dry and have never had a problem with grip in the wet. The ones I have on now (KU31) have been used for a couple track outings todate and I can testify to their level of grip :-) Just my experiences - hope it helps. charlton
Nokia or nokian, can't remember what they're called, but I hear only good things about them. I have Nokian tyres and I was advised against getting "cheap" tyres but got them on the advice of a trusted tyre fitter that they are better than Falkens - (fitted, balanced etc for £380 - all four tyres 265/3518 & 235/40/18) Now I've had them on my car for about a month and didn't want to post so early and jinx it but these tyres are really good in the dry and the wet with more than enough grip and traction - but then I am in an N/A

Bob
I had Vredestein Sportrac 2's all round on my Celica and they were excellent tyres. Didn't they used to supply the Porsche standard factory tyres?
