Jim_1979
Just got my toad alarm fitted today. Does anyone know how to make it "chirp" when you lock/unlock the car? Just now it's silent. I know you probably press certain buttons etc, but I've no idea what and can't seem to find it in the manual. Cheers!
Getrag
I thoughts those ones naturally chirped but could be silenced with a button combo (10 hit?). So not sure about that.
Jake
See page 14 of the manual which can be downloaded here: http://www.eserviceinfo.com/downloadsm/17912/Toad_Ai606.html
Jim_1979
yeah.. it did chirp... now it doesn't... I'll just hit random buttons until someone actually knows how!... lol.
michael
The installers are told to turn it off for noise pollution reasons, the link Jake kindly provided should sort you out, as should the instructions that come with the alarm. Matt Harwood
Phone me, and I'll talk you through doing it. You'll need your PIN code. Preferably call me from your car so that I can hear the siren chirps
Getrag
Im surprised you have to hear them, cant you just fix it from where you are now Matt?
Phil-M
I have a toad Ai606 on my MR2 and its never chirped....
Matt Harwood
Im surprised you have to hear them, cant you just fix it from where you are now Matt? LOL, well, sort of... All the Ai606's from about December last year have had the chirps set to off as default. Most installers turn them on, but not all. There was also a fairly large batch of them that went out with a minor software glitch. As the glitch was only in the dealer programming side of things, they didn't bother recalling them... That's why I need/prefer to hear the chirps.

LeeT
Cant help with your problem but how much did it cost you if you don't mind me asking? I want one of these with full closure, knock and perimeter sensor. Perhaps you could quote me Matt if you read this?
flukey-lukey
I have one of those! Mine chirps because I told him I want to annoy the neighbours late at night LeeT - £265 for the alarm and fitting. I THINK window closure was extra £70, knock and perimeter sensor extra £90 each IIRC

No. Not unless you have a window closure module.

chilli
I have one of these (good alarms) and didn't realise you can change the settings on it! So where would I find my pin number lol, is it on the paperwork somewhere?
Matt Harwood
You should have been given a small, credit card sized peice of card that has a quick reference guide on one side and a silver sticker with a 4 digit number on the other.
