Ok, whats coming next?

Will they really declare war on the USA?

Should be interesting to see. :bang:

I doubt it, it would be suicide, it would Korea v the world!! not much of a war. Well it wouldnt be much of a war anyway if every f*cker fired off nukes.

Everything has knock on effects, the UK would be nothing without America

they are reacting in a similar way to what the US would if the situation were reversed.

I can easily see that if sanctions were imposed on the US for their further development of weapons then their president would call that a declaration of war on the countries who imposed the sanctions.

It is good to see Russia and China on the side of the UN. If this was not the case then the situation would be a whole lot different.

Its not a nice situation, but I dont think its anything new. N Korea have been ready to declare war at the drop of a hat.

Its a strange situation, they are a very poor country but have a bloody well funded army. I know they have a huge number in the army and a massive number in the air force.

If there was a war this is the type of war that America is prepared for. I.e. Big assed bombs, and equipment. They werent really prepared for Iraq style small bits of fighting.

Any how we have a lot of allys, so we should be ok. Id be shitting myself If I were in Japan tho. It would be easiest place for them to hit.

Its not nice for us however when we are fighting two wars at the moment. If we have to turn our sights to Korea, then you know Iran et al will be building up and trying to do their own thing :S

Who cares. We can't change it and nothing's going to happen anyway. Nobody wants war. Not even the N.K.'s. The Chonger is something different. You know why the military is so well funded there? Because all the aid and food that is sent to N.K. is diverted to the military. Total B.S. I wish Russia and China would just kick their @$$ already and save the rest of the world some pain.

If they did that, then things would get very messy.

Last thing on my mind TBH.

Don't think Japan are allowed to build up any form of effective army. (Something to do with the terms of surrender from WW2).

The main 'player' in all of this is China IMO. As long as they are 'on side' with the international community then things won't go to a war situation.

But there is so much politics involved in this it is very hard to predict.

This was true until recently. They were permitted to have only a "Self Defense Force" due to their constitution which was rewritten post-WWII as a condition of the surrender. In recent years, they've been building up there forces to include a minimal strike capability. I only know because I spent four years working closely with their Air Force.

Concur. Let's just hope that their neighbors are persuasive enough to end it diplomatically with as little economic riptide as possible.
