jamesmark
I had to get a set of wheels as went I got the car they had a set of 19's on them and 235 all round on a TT, but ran out of money so I bought a set of cheap chrome wheels, however the chrome plating is got sharp bumps on it and all tarnished no matter how much I have kept them clean. So I was thinking how easy is it to go from chrome plating to black spokes with a sliver lip? Is it straight forward etc any tips? Pic of wheels below. It shouldn't be too difficult to do the job, i would get them blasted by someone local to you to get rid of the chrome plating and leave you a clean alloy to apply your primer paint etc. If there is any kurbing then use a metal based bodyfiller (if you can find one) to cover the kerb marking. Other than that the usual paint spraying techniques apply.
