hob
I ordered a second radiator (busted first one) from an ebay guy (100% feedback etc) and it turned up today but its different its not shiny it has a KOYO logo but it's raised and not embossed (as other one) Doesn't have front sprayed racing flag I can take pictures if required, does it sound legit? Thorin
Pics? I don't know what a genuine should look like though. Will you be fitting it yourself? I'd be interested to know what the fitment is like compared to the fluidyne, whether you can keep the top air duct etc. too (see http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=83646&highlight=fluidyne)
imi
arent there two versions of the rad...one is the OEM placement which is cheaper, the 2nd is the racing version that is more expensive and thicker.

Thorin
I have an shiny oem one, and fitting is the same as stock..... Great fitment and looks the dogs:d Can you retain the top air duct? Do you have to trim away a little of the fan shroud to fit? Does the secondary fan bolt up fine at all three points? Just curious

Just curious Yes you can retain top airduct, but you have to make a small plate bout 25mm and drill 2 holes in it, to secure the bolt that normally screws into the rad. Its further back on the Koyo, think this is due to its thinkness, but very easy to do. Fan shroud is a std fit, no cutting etc nescessary. Secondary fan, std fit no mods required
Nic
Koyo make 2 models for the JZA80, the Type-R and Type-Z. The Type R is painted the Type Z is polished Alu. I know that there are knock offs of the Koyo radiators made that are sold as genuine. See pics here: http://www.koyorad.co.jp/shop/M1100801.htm

Thorin
Ok so nowhere to bolt the top air duct on the Koyo rad either... and it looks like there's one of the holes missing for bolting the secondary fan up too?
