matt k
Dunno what to say to that as i mainly race in a straight line and raced one of these recently and it was nothing more than childs play. (single now though so doesnt count) Had a "play" with a CTR with a Jackson racing Supercharger (350 BHP i think) on it on the M1, it sounded fcuking amazing but i easily pulled away from him 3 times(BPU 420 BHP) at 90-140, so i can only assume that you're not running up boost or must have had the Supercharger kit on. RedM
Chyrsler Crossfire on a busy DCW. To be avoided just in case one accelerates right into the back of one. All I was trying to do was get alongside and tell the prospective owner (car was covered in sales room stickers) on a test drive that he could buy a decent single Supe for the price of one of them. imi
Imi, are you a racing driver? Judging by the poor performances of some supra drivers here, I guess some "should" classify me as a racing driver. personally, I think I'm a pretty crappy driver
lockys96
init mush, ye me tinks it is a better not racey the mushy in the corners, havent it one, yeh youse know how we does,
Chris Wilson
New shape M6, awesome, even on track, if it's driven properly. Mercedes 55 / 65 AMG's will embarass you in a straight line drag race, so will Bentley Continental GT's But the owners of these have paid a HIGH price for the pleasure. imi
What about a M3 on track Chris? Any experience?
Mike M
I had an M6 try and lure me in once after I caught up with him quicker than he was expecting. I declined:drag:
mattanna
Civic type r 0-60 is 6.6 to 6.8 sec and top speed 146mph therefore a tt supra should piss one in a straight line and certainly from a rolling start, the torque is way higher, round the twisties who cares
Bobbeh
What about a M3 on track Chris? Any experience? The M3s are good, the CSL will tear you a new one. 360bhp, very lightweight and equipped with track tyres from the showroom.
Matti85
The M3s are good, the CSL will tear you a new one. 360bhp, very lightweight and equipped with track tyres from the showroom. So you mean a M3 year 02+ the one with about 286hp stock will be a tuff fight for a BPU supra 400hp. The CSL is another story that i know, im more intressted in beating the ordinary M3, since one from my block have bought one. There are now a corvette C5 and the M3 that i have to beat =)-
Bobbeh
No I'm talking about the CSL. If I was talking about a 280bhp car I wouldnt have mentioned a 360bhp car...hmm
chilli
with a good healthy BPU set up I really don't think you need to be afraid of much at all As for CTR's they are hardly worth the fuel to prove the obvious! Watch out for some new type Porsche Turbo 996/997s - these don't hang around!
Miguel
Normal M3 (figures from 'Autocar') 3245cc 6 cyls in line - 343 bhp at 7900 rpm (figures from 'Autocar') M3 CSL 3245cc 6 cyls in line- 360 bhp at 7900 rpm

Clarkey
Don't forget Mig - that when you get in and out of your new BMW - you'll also have to take your "prick" hat off and on ?
Clarkey
Possibly because the Civic Type-R is a lot more aerodynamic than the supra What the hell are you on about ?!? The Civic isn't designed to do 170+
Darragh
i drag raced a 400+bhp evo 4 yesterday and even though he got me of the start line by the end of the 1/4 mile he wasnt gettiing away from me:d i then raced his mate in his so called modified scoobie he got me off the line yet again with the advantage of 4x4(i rolled off then booted it) and by the end i was gaining that quick i past him just after the finish line he was impressed:cool: then there was a black m3 i slaughtered it when the turbo started singing the only car that has beat me was the gtr skyline on the way to the drag racing past me like i was stopped:blink: heres the m3 video i past him shortly after the crowd got in the camera shot http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Ga8trI93BA
imi
What the hell are you on about ?!? The Civic isn't designed to do 170+ I was being sarcastic I thought it was funny, if I may say so myself Possibly because the Civic Type-R is a lot more aerodynamic than the supra and with the stock of bread that he was carrying the driver could easily stock himself up of carbs to keep his energy levels up

Chris Wilson
What about a M3 on track Chris? Any experience? The only ones I have experience of are the eighties M3 like used in the European Touring Car Championship by the likes of Dieter Quester. Light, nimble, fabulous engine. The later big and blaoted stuff never appealed.
