Christ ive got about 5 or 600 dvds, just think its waisted money sat there but i suppose i would be sad selling them off ;)

I suppose it would be sad selling them all if you havnt at least watched them but i'd be interested if you did want to sell them!

Think you will need a whole new forum section in the for sales part just for them tho!!

Yup. I've got a fair few but like you I don't tend to watch any of the ones I own. I can stand looking at my collection for ages trying to figure out what I want to watch but then end up watching nothing. I rectified this problem by joining Tesco online DVD rental. So now I get to watch loads of films but not fork out a lot of dosh for it. It's especially good for series' like Lost or prison break which would cost summat like £40 for the set which I'd only watch once.

The mrs tends to buy them on a whim and then never gets round to watching them, but I buy them and then cant wait so they get watched straight away. Then she moans that we never watch anything together or that Ive already seen everything!

Women. Cant live with them, cant shoot them either! :D

Well thats the problem selling them would be a total knightmare LOL

The worse thing about it is on the odd ocasion me and the wife do sit down and say "lets stick a dvd on" we both go through them and argue on what to watch and end up watching nowt anyway LOL

I also have sh1t loads of rare disney films which i bought the little one but he doesnt watch them anymore as "its not cool" :)

I stopped buying them when I realised I was being manipulated by the industry with words like "Special Edition", "Bonus Disc", "Directors Cut", "Redux", "Digital Restoration" etc.

I too found the "bargains" found in the sales stayed wrapped for years on the shelf.

Now I just rent DVDs from LoveFilm or buy the odd one when they're less than a tenner.

That really annoys me. It's also the main reason i never bought Star Wars on DVD or VHS. You know they'll bring out "the colection" then "The Collection: with extras". Then a few months later "Special Edition Collection" closly followed by "The 12 disc Special Edition Collection" and so on and on....

I used to collect them, I've got a few hundred probably, used to like all my Japanese stuff so would bring loads of those in from Yesasia, nowadays I prefer to just spend that money on beer and women so just download my films off the net :)

If I ever see a really good film then I'll buy it, but there's not taht much god stuff come out recently...

I'm going for the minimalistic look too so stuff the ones up at mine behind the arms of the settee so they're not obvious, the only problem is that it makes it easy for everyone to find my porn stash :D

I can't believe you guys! I have never bought a DVD in my life, not a single one. I watch loads of movies but I download them from Usenet. I haven't paid for a music CD since the 90s either.

You lot must have money to burn.

That's not something to be proud of Jake.

The kind of artists I listen to aren't given lucrative record contracts etc and rely on the small numbers of sales they have to live on. I'm happy to buy the CDs in order to keep them producing music. A tenner for hours and hours of entertainment from a music CD is value for money.

Compare it to a car magazine which is £4 and lasts an hour. (I expect you'll tell me you don't buy those either, or you read your neighbours cast offs or something) ;)

Movie industry I don't have quite so much sympathy for, but I am a quality freak and some of the double layer to single layer DVD compressed stuff is awful. Don't get me started on crappy cinema rips.

I agree - buying 100's is :looney:
