kamikaze
After a lot of thinking ive decided to sell the Supra,i hardly use it anymore (due to traffic/running everywhere) so ive decided to do my direct access for a bike.Ive booked my theory test and my CBT then i will doing the test before end of next month. Any good advice for a starter bike welcome I thought about a RVF400,CBR400RR or a VFR400?

terribleturner
Yeah you'll be bored with anything less than a 600. Saying that i have never actually been on anything less than a 500. My first bike was a ZX6 Ninja, then moved onto an R6 and now think i'll get either a fireblade or gsxr1000. Good luck with the tests mate
JustGav
I'm currently considering a CBR600 as well bizarelly enough for next year's good weather.
JamieP
600cc is a good first bike... they dont have much torque so wont bite like a 1000cc bike will. Good luck with the test and be carefull:) If i was you id keep the supe till next spring then get a bike... its not much fun on a bike in the winter. Hobgoblin
Enjoy your biking, I had to give it up due to recurring neck injury. My ex boss had a CBR600RR, which I tried, it was superb. At the time I had a ZX9R, and I reckon the Honda was a match for it.
kamikaze
Yup well i run to work most days so in winter time i will only be using the bike on dry days..Might keep my MX5 a bit longer and use that instead if we get hit bad this year
RobSheffield
The 400s are often ignored, but are certainly worth a try at the least. I used to ride a VFR400 NC30 (Scorpion can) and for the money, was an ideal starter bike
