GeordieSteve
ok ok I expect the usual abuse for mentioning ebay kit but I'm going to anyway. My opinion is that it doesn't need to be expensive to work well. How does this look http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=140039857719&ssPageName=MERC_VI_RSCC_Pr4_PcY_BIN_Stores_IT&refitem=130003644062&itemcount=4&refwidgetloc=active_view_item&usedrule1=StoreCatToStoreCat&refwidgettype=cross_promot_widget Are the welds messy and if they are, would they be easily fixed? Bob
I thought the thing with these uprated manifolds was that you wuld ose low-end power, sacrificing it for more top-end grunt? I'm sure I read that on here somewhere regarding the GReddy intake manifold.
Alex
It's a waste of money - only changing to a Q45 TB would be of use. IMO.
bondango
The quality of these is 100% , ive had the real deal in my hands and there is very little between the 2. The welds are top notch, very clean and well worked inside. Throttle bodies too are an excellent bit of engineering, and dont need any modding to get the original TPS to fit. the 100mm TB is a bit overkill in my opinion but the 90mm and 75mm should be ok. Fuel rail is Exactly the same as the HKS top feed - infact the only difference i could see was that HKS has the stamp on thiers. If your Jspec there are plently of Top feed high imp injectors on the market too. Note is a great guy to deal with, and he will also supply Sard top feed injectors for the kit if you need, and work out a decent deal all in. he will also work on the insurance etc so you dont get stung by mr customs. Delivery in 3 shipping days wasnt a bad thing either considering you need to chase up some UK suppliers 2 weeks on. He also put the turbo intake trumpet into my last delivery for free and asked what did i think of it! http://www.japengineshop.com/images/1154155069/DSCF8253.JPG how many traders would do something like that! So overall very impressive, we've built our own intake manifolds and know how much work goes into them. He actually asked for pics of it and has began replication and testing to offer them to the 7MGTE (mk3 supra) market. with a Short runner manifold like this you do sacrifice a little low end power, but gain in throttle response, where as the long runner designs gain down below whilst sacrficing top end power. the way i look at it is, if you have gone to the trouble of doing head work cams etc etc why not work on the rest of the intake side
Ibrar Jabbar
Looks like a nice bit of kit, could be next on my list of things to get
