Muffleman
Had some great results with Meguiars, I use the deep crystal 3 stage and then you can use the spray detailer for when you don't feel like spending HOURS at it, brings it up lovely in 5mins

chilli
I've come to the conclusion there isn't a single best make meguires gold class car shampoo is excellent, best shampoo I've used meguires clay and detailer are good meguirs gold class wax is good (but sometimes hard work) meguires deep crystal polish, not convinced by this, really hard work on a black car! Autoglym super resin, quite good but a bit powedery? Autoglym extra gloss is very good still waiting to find the best wax, will probably get some neilsons or swissol or there is some stuff called p2100? or something that is also meant to be very good
Gamer
P21S Google it.
JustGav
P21S Google it. Yes, very good choice.... Poorboys as well... But how many people would do the correct prep stuff for the P21S and the like?
Gamer
Yes, very good choice.... Poorboys as well... But how many people would do the correct prep stuff for the P21S and the like? I do. The results are worth it.... It does help that I started with a fresh paint job. I intend on keeping it that way for as long as possible. Geo
Well i went out and bought some autoglym, so washed and polished the car, and she came up a treat. Wil post some pics later.
Rayman
Yeh pics please, megs is one of the best i find, autoglym wax i find leaves crusty deposits in parts, polishes fine tho!
chilli
yes P21S thats the stuff, not 2100 lol I've heard it is good stuff, it's a wax right not a polish as such?
colsoop
yes P21S thats the stuff, not 2100 lol I've heard it is good stuff, it's a wax right not a polish as such? Thats right, it is a finishing product, you should start with a gloss polish or paintwork cleanser and then a sealant glaze followed by p21 s to protect and add depth of shine, the classic "wet look"
chilli
ok so it is a carnuba wax type product, this is the best wax you can get? what is a sealent glaze then? I get a bit lost with the miriad of different products out there... how does a cleanser differ from a polish or are they the same
colsoop
Yes it is a carnauba wax. Paintwork cleanser does just that it back fills light swirl marks and cleanses the paintwork of other light debris, restoring the gloss and shine a normal polish just protects what is there. The sealant glaze then seals this new fresh shiny paint adding another layer of gloss as well. Then with the carnauba wax to add the final protection and achieve the wet look. Nathman
I have just started using Meguiars 3 step Deep crystal System! Stage 1 - Paint Cleaner Stage 2 - Polish Stage 3 - Carnauba Wax It is hard work and took me about 2 hours to do all 3 stages, but the results are fantastic! I did the supe today (sorry pic is a bit dark) and did my wifes BMW last weekend. The picture of the BMW doesn't really do it justice, but before the polish, it was in a right state, loads of scratches and swirl marks:( By the time I had finished, it looked like a mirror:)
