Suspension problems??

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I just came back from the JapUK car meet at Mascarat Manor. As I pulled off of a slip road something wierd happened. I accelerated quite hard in 4th and it felt like the rear drivers side of the car went down and there was a slight pull to one side.

This happened twice more on the way home, the last time I was in 5th and accelerated - again the same thing.

I stopped thinking it might be a flat tyre or something, but they were all OK. I pulled off again and floored it.....everything seems fine again.

What the hell was that???

:(

Paul.

This noise is coming from the rear of the car....

jack it up and have a look at the rear suspension linkages. make sure everything is fastened together and to torque spec (mkiv.com). check the subframe bolts as well (a search will show u what to do), i doubt the subframes r yr problem but worth a check.

the brake caliper sounds a good possibility too.
