Kittyclaws
Just to say that is a very good price, and Nikons are good cameras (Canon man myself) so if you are after a SLR, you can't go wrong with this one

Tom
Great pics, how did you take pics of the camera though? another camera! lol, although I did try taking a pic using a mirror! Carbon angel, If I'm getting at what you mean yes you can hold the shutter open on the camera manually and fire the flash manually, but as it's battery powered you'd have to wait for it to power up again, on recharged batteries and depending on the power of flash this normally takes about 2 secs for the largest flash, this isnt something I've actually tried! The waterfall pic I took in Thailand, tbh I think it's taken me about 3/4 months to get 'fairly' decent pics, from seeing other pics on the web I'm still miles away from anything pro level but another year or 2 and I may be a little closer. Ric
its an option on some of the higher end slrs u can set the camara to act as the reciever and the flashgun sends a signal when you press the flash you can walk around your object (car) and flash as many times as you like allover it so you get a flash in all the places you want then the camera completes the shot with all the flashes so you end up with a well lit object. obvioulsy it needs to be on a tripod
