My Supra wobbles in the rain

I know this sounds really stupid, but when it rains heavy my Supra vibrates shortly after 80 leps.

It hapeens everytime it rains I had Continental ZR rated tyres before and they never did this, I can only think there is a tread defect, they have only done less than 2k miles and no bad tracking alignment wear anywhere. all squared up ok...

After a massive skid in mine a while back mine made funny bumping noises. The only thing I can think of was that I flat spotted two of my tyres cos the bumps used to come in and out of phase with each other. Having changed the wheels and tyres it doesn't do it any more.

Strange that yours only does the vibration thing in the rain though. Maybe there is a bubble inside the tyre somewhere that water is getting into but you would think that centrifugal force would push the water out? Not wanting to sound like a tw*t but the directional tyres are on in the correct direction aren't they??

'It only happens when it rains' sounds like the title of a song, the vibration has a kind of pattern to it, The fact that the directional tyres may be the wrong way round could make sence, the weight balancing would'nt cause this because it dosn't do it on dry roads.

Thanks for the advice...trip to Micheldever is planned

Directional tyres have arrow marks on them mate, have a look at the sidewall and there should be some arrow marks of some sort. The arrows should point fwds from the top or anti-clockwise whichever way you wanna look at it. if one doesn't theres ya probs. If not you may have a duffer tyre somewhere.
