After some amazing work by Leon and James at JPS Motorsport I finally have my PHR Stage 1 Turbo kit finished!! Words really cannot put into perspective what an absolute monster its made the car. You have heard about external wastegates... all I can say is its f-cking loud!! The pull? I've currently kept it at 1.3bar and its pulled harder than anything I have ever felt before. I have had the same bar pulls on stockers and its nowhere near what this is like. Amazing power! Dyno'd nearly 600 crank HP at 1.3bar. A little more fuelling work and this is capable of nearly 2.0bar. :)

I must apologise for my shite camera. Somewhat of a letdown to see a bunch of the pics came out with a slight blur to them.

Guess I will start with the "before" pic:

Onto stripping out the old stock Turbos. Looks amazingly clean for a 10 year old car!

I will follow up with better rez pics today / tomorrow after a trip to Halfords and some TLC to clean it all up.

Enjoy!

Gotta get in there and poke around today to see where its all going. Didnt have much daylight after I got home yesterday to get in there. I do know that one stock feed was capped off, just like yours.

John, youre going to shit yourself when you hear your wastegate! Its insane.

550cc Injectors, FSE, Pulsation Dampener Bypass, and Walbro Pump. Gonna move up to 680cc inj and new fuel line / dual feed when I get the time and $$ to push 28psi. =)

i will be very interested to hear how you get on with this set up as i was considering the PHR stage2 although im leaning towards BL67 p trim at mo. im also looking at running on stock fuelling(uk spec) temporarily, although the fuelling would be in by the summer, when i could really use it.

how is the stock tranny holding up with the extra power?

how much dyno time did it take to set up in the end? 600 brake at fly, 500ish at hubs must feel awesome. get the fuelling sorted and wind that boost up:D

Tranny seems fine, although I think my TC may be on its way out. :D I really wouldnt want to push the stock tranny at anything over 500 crank HP. That is still kinda pushing it! If you figure how cheap the BL one is and then think of the costs of repairing a broken stocker, it only makes sene. Plus they are good up to 800 or so HP, which is more than enough for most single applications.

Thanks for all the kind words everyone. After tonight's London cruise I am thoroughly impressed. Its exceeded my expectations by a long shot and placed that silly "supra grin" on my face the entire day. :)
