Ian C
Can't you give me some more information other than weird manga crossover thing? Righto. There is a bloke, Australian, who can only go outside in some sort of environment suit. The exterior shots are all based around an abandoned mostly-knocked down industrial area, making it a perfect post-apoc scene. It's filmed in heavy yellow filter to make everything look polluted. I think he finds some woman who is a nurse, possibly. I also think he sleeps on a hospital gurney in an old hospital, which kinda tallies with that. Running parallel to his explorations is a cartoon/manga bit with some freaky girl who is questing after a crystal egg or something. The stories keep intertwining and eventually at the end, with some fairly disasterous special effects, the manga girl breaks into the Aussie's world with this egg and it chases away all the pollution and radioactivity. I haven't a clue what it's all about really as I can't recall much else and I've only ever seen the last half hour. But it looked good -Ian

Cable
Ok this isn't sci-fi or indeed fantasy and sorry for the slight hi-jack but can someone help me find a book? It's set in America (I think) and it's about a girl who is the sole survivour of a nuclear bomb. Or at least she thinks she is until she discovers someone else who is dressed in full fall out gear and she spends a lot of the time being confused who he is and running away from him. I can't remember much else but also there was a film/drama thing adapted from the book. Any ideas? It's been bothering me for approximately 10 years. 'Z for Zacharia' Excellent book. I would like to read that again. More of a Tom Clancy or Lee Child fan myself
