CJ Posted October 6, 2006 Share Posted October 6, 2006 A friend of mine recently applied for a position and was offered the job subject to references. That offer was then retracted and the reason given was that the references were not as expected. She has now asked the potential employer to see the references that were given but they are refusing saying that it breaches the data protection act. To me, that sounds like a bit of BS.
