chilli
On the radio recently I've heard this song a couple of times that I've really liked. Think it is a recently released track (last month or two). No idea who it is by but I can describe it a little: It's electronic, kinda downbeat and funky. Has a bouncy squelchy bass line in it. It has vocals, kinda chilled male vocals IIRC and the hook seems to have a female vocal (sounds like it may well be a sample from something else) saying something like "... this time I'll knock you out..." any ideas? I'd really like to get it but it's a touch hard when you don't know the artist or name of the song lol
how_supra
I have no idea, but I must say, that I too heard a song on Radio One about two months ago, "hey now baby whatcha gonna do now" or something like that, really liked it, and can't find it anywhere. We are the same, just slightly different
chilli
hmmm well that might even be the same song? grrrr it's been buggin' me for a while now! raaar!
how_supra
The vocals sounded like the scissor sisters meet gnarls barclay [kind of high pitch] Actually I think we are talking about the same song, I do recall something along the lines of this time Ill knock you out. Did you happen to hear it in the morning around 7:15am?

how_supra
Its not little chris is it? He sounds like a girl definately definatelly 100% not him. I heard it a few months ago, in July even. James took the mickey out of me, because when I was singing it too him, it was sort of in the tune of Ronan keating, rollercoaster. Its not Ronan Keating. EDIT and it doesn't sound like Rollercoaster, Im just tone deaf.

how_supra
how can you say that when you're surounded by friendly forumites got any more of your song to go on? any lyric searches with those words point at the alice in chains song doh! Im alone in my quest for the song that apparently does not exist. I know the lyrics sound like the alice in chains song, I've been there but its not. I only actually remember those lyrics, and the tune, which I can sing at the computer, but you're not going to hear.
chilli
go on, sing it and record it and send us the link we won't judge honest, it's purely for song identification purposes that's the problem I was having, in my head I could do a perfect rendition of that song I was looking for, but the words went 'dum di dum mumble mumble mumble' and googling for that drew a blank
how_supra
LOL I have kind of given up now, it was July sometime I heard that song, on the Chris Moyles show. I must have made it up in my head. The more I think about it, the more I wonder if I even have the lyrics right.
chilli
so, no song name, no artist and the wrong lyrics and maybe the song doesn't even exist (except in your head), well you've got every chance of finding it! you sure it wasn't a song moyles just made up?
how_supra
Yeah pretty much, possibly wrong lyrics, but I do have the tune firmly implanted in my brain. and I don't think Moyles made it up. Hey now baby whatcha gonna do now da da da da da da how now baby whatcha gonna do now Okay that doesn't help. I think Im a lost cause.
