I have to get new tyres and thought i would try something different - maybe.

I currently run eagle f1 all round.

I would be interested in views from owners with:

vredestein

Falken fk452

Toyo

What are peoples views on running different makes front and rear ?

Winters coming so

Michelin Pilot Sport 2

Expensive well not really, I`ve been quoted £150 for a 245/45 ZR 17 PS2 fitted all in with valve / balance and old tyre disposal.

In case I upset moderators I won`t mention the local tyre company in Avonmouth, Bristol (part of their name is the TV series title that had KITT the car in ) that quoted me but it was another £50 on top for one of those Slow-Fit Unfitters to fit it !

I know Toyo`s are less but the "Mich" is not just a Summer Tyre !

:p :search:

When first got the car I had Kumho's on the front and Bridgestones on the back, and it handled really badly and left me with a bit of a false impression of the car.

Then got got rid of the Bridgestones (after a blow out at 60mph) and fitted Kumho's on the back to match front. Totally different car after that.

Now running Eagle F1's.

Also having this debate at the moment. I ordered the Avon's but for reasons explained in Supra Chat they never arrived.

Now looking at the Falken's but the back boots are Khumo Supra which are a lot less. comparing the brands available what's good? The Khumo Sport seem more expensive but just wondered if they were worth it over the Supra ones? Also, are the Supra ones any cop for the front? They do seem a bit cheap...

I tried different makes front and rear - It doesn't work!!

I have had F1's, they were ok.

To my mind not a patch on the Toyo Proxes T1R - superb in all conditions.

Talk to Ibrar, he does a good deal and fitting is second to none.

Cheers i did look at the Pro Alloys website but either they don't put a lot of tyres up there or it wasn't working right for me as it kept giving me a blank page for Falken etc.

I'd need the tyres posted to me as i'm Scotlandshire :)

Seen a good deal on the Falkens at £71 and The Khumo Supra's at just £57 which is why i was doubting the quality - the Khumo Sport are £68

Our friend Ibrar does do a postal service and nearly every tyre you can think of.

Give him a call that's the best bet see what he has in stock - Good luck fella, and don't forget the weather is getting wetter and wetter, so go for the best you can afford.

MonkeyMark had some Khumo's and said they were pretty decent IIRC.

I've had Falken 451's and thought they were a fantastic tyre, not as good as Goodyear F1's but not far off. Will probably be going for new wheels with 452's all round when I next need tyres.

You should try going to that other tyre company just up the road, my uncle owns it so I'm sure it could be cheaper :D
