Ian C
Hello, I spoke to you at the 'ring - I can't recall your name but you were from Cardiff. And we overtook you in the BMW 320 -Ian
downimpact
ah yes that would be me Yeah i think i'd done 1 or 2 laps when i met you, so i'm going to blame familiarisation with the ring for being overtaken The 3rd lap i did was foolishly in the wet, spun it twice in 1 lap! Saved it first time just missing the armco. 2nd time managed to go over a drain and up the bank just after Adenau (spl?) had to be towed off the bank, as my talent ran out Learned valuable lesson about never going out in the wet ever again in a rwd car. With much luck the car is almost completely undamaged, except a new kerb mark in the rims and a scratch down the passenger side (should wax out b4 japshow). Now trying to work out when to go back next year after some choice mods.
CardiffSupra
I'd love to take my car on a track, Just to know my limits in the wet. And Fancy being taken by a 320..... tut tut
downimpact
Limits in the wet with a standard set up are quite low, or maybe just me On the ring you get overtaken by everything at first, as you just don't know how tight the corners are and where the track goes next Therefore you get overtaken by all sorts of embarrasing cars, that would never happen on a road. But equally once you begin to know the track you can over take bikes and porsche 911's
